The project

Selling a bed that is also a device

A smart bed is a big, considered purchase with technology inside. The website has to make it feel like choosing a bed, not configuring a gadget.

Sleep Number is a sleep-technology and smart-home brand that makes connected beds.

Branditify worked on commerce for Sleep Number, which its 2026 Selected Digital Work sums up in one line: “Commerce on the surface. Connected intelligence underneath.”

The Sleep Number website shows what that means in practice: three collections, a side-by-side comparison, a two-minute quiz and a collection page with an Add to cart button, with the technology explained in a separate guide.

What did Branditify work on for Sleep Number?

Commerce for Sleep Number: the shopping experience of a connected sleep product, which Branditify’s 2026 Selected Digital Work lists under connected products.

What type of company is Sleep Number?

A sleep-technology and smart-home brand that makes connected beds.

Two layers

A shop on top, a smart product underneath

The website keeps the two apart. The shopping surface talks about collections, sizes and prices; the technology gets its own guide, in plain words.

Where the work sits

On the surface: commerce

Choosing and buying: collections side by side, a table to compare them, and a Shop now button under each.

The Sleep Number compare page: three mattresses side by side with a Shop now button each, above a comparison table of height and design

Sleep Number’s own

Underneath: connected intelligence

The product’s own smart features, explained one card at a time. They belong to Sleep Number, and this case study describes them only as context.

The Sleep Number smart-beds guide: a row of Smart bed features cards, each explaining one feature over a photograph of a bed at night

What connected-product context did the experience communicate?

That the bed is connected: the smart features are explained in their own guide, in plain language, while the shopping pages stay about collections, sizes and the cart.

Did Branditify build the connected intelligence?

No. The connected intelligence is Sleep Number’s own; the work was on commerce.

From browsing to the cart

Four ways to arrive at the right bed

People shop for a bed in different ways. The website gives each of them a route, and every route ends at the same collection page.

  1. The Sleep Number mattresses page: three collections, ComfortMode, ComfortNext and Climate, each with a short feature list and a Shop the collection button
Three collections, each summed up in a few lines.

    Browse the collections

Three collections, each summed up in a few lines and one button.

  2. The Sleep Number compare page: three mattresses side by side with a Shop now button each, above a comparison table of height and design
Compare: the three collections side by side, row by row.

    Compare them

The three side by side, with a row for each thing that differs.

  3. The Sleep Number bed quiz welcome screen on a blue gradient: Hello, a note that it takes about two minutes, and a Let’s get started button
The bed quiz, for people who would rather answer questions than read specifications.

    Or take the quiz

A two-minute bed quiz for people who would rather answer questions.

  4. A Sleep Number collection page for ComfortMode: a large bedroom photograph, size and model choices, base options and an Add to cart button
A collection page: choose the size, the model and the base, then add to cart.

Size, model and base on one page, then Add to cart.
