Rare Magic: One storefront, four ways to buy
Rare Magic makes resin art and preserves flowers by hand in India. Branditify created its brand and designed and built its storefront, where not everything fits a cart.

The project
Handmade products need more than “Add to cart”
Some pieces are ready to ship. Others are made for one person, or made from their own wedding flowers. A single checkout cannot hold all of that.
Rare Magic, Rare Magic by Shreya, is a small studio in India making resin pooja thalis, door hangings, nameplates and gifts, and preserving wedding and bouquet flowers in resin.
Branditify created the Rare Magic brand identity and designed and built its storefront, which credits Branditify in its footer. Branditify’s 2026 Selected Digital Work shows it as a preview build: a handcrafted-product storefront designed around ready-to-buy, made-to-order, preservation and personalised buying journeys rather than a one-size-fits-all cart.
Behind the shop sits an admin for products, categories, orders, requests, customers, discounts and the website’s own content, and a checkout that prices every order on the server. The payment gateway is not yet connected.
What did Branditify build for Rare Magic?
The brand identity, and the storefront: the shop, product pages with their options, cart and checkout, preservation and quote requests, customer accounts and order tracking, and the admin behind it.
Was this a custom ecommerce project?
Yes. The storefront is custom-built because its products are sold in four different ways; the portfolio labels the version shown a preview build.

The brand
A moon, a crystal and a flower
Branditify designed the Rare Magic brand identity: a crescent moon holding crystals and a flower, beside a serif wordmark and “by Shreya”, in amethyst and gold.
Did Branditify design the Rare Magic brand?
Yes. Branditify designed the Rare Magic brand identity, including the logo, the icon, the wordmarks and the decorative elements, and built the storefront’s look from it.
Four ways to buy
When “Add to cart” is not enough
Every product carries a selling type, and its button changes with it. The four types share one catalogue and one admin.
Ready to buy
In stock: add to the cart straight away, or choose the options first, then check out.
Cart then checkout
Made to order
Made for one person: fill in the customisation the piece needs, then add it to the cart.
Customise then cart
Preservation
Flowers sent in to be preserved: book, send the flowers, receive the keepsake.
Book then send then keepsake
Quote only
Pieces priced on request, such as corporate and bulk orders: describe the need and get a quote.
Request then quote

How does ready-to-buy differ from made-to-order?
Ready-to-buy pieces go straight to the cart, or open their options first; made-to-order pieces open a customisation step, because each one is made for a single person.
Can products have different buying models?
Yes. Each product carries one of four selling types, which sets its button and its path: the cart, a customisation, a preservation request or a quote.
How are special requests handled?
Alongside the options. A product can take an optional special request, which travels with that line in the cart, so two of the same piece with different requests stay separate.
Flower preservation
From the wedding day to a keepsake
Preservation has its own journey, and the page says what happens at each step before anyone commits.
How does flower preservation work digitally?
A customer books a preservation and picks a keepsake, couriers the flowers to the studio with the packing guidance it shares, and receives the keepsake once the flowers are dried and set in resin. The booking is a request the studio follows up, not a checkout.

The shop
A catalogue shaped like the occasions
The shop menu opens by category and by occasion, and a three-question gift finder helps anyone who does not know where to start.

How is the catalogue organised?
By five categories, from spiritual and pooja pieces to personalised gifts and flower preservation, and by occasion, from weddings and housewarmings to Diwali and new babies.
What is the gift finder?
Three taps: who the gift is for, the occasion and the budget, and the shop suggests a few pieces.
Behind the shop
One admin, and prices checked on the server
The studio runs the whole shop from one admin, and the checkout never trusts a price sent from the browser.
In the admin
- Products
- Categories
- Orders
- Requests
- Customers
- Discounts
- Settings
- Website content
Does the system include an admin panel?
Yes. The admin covers products, categories, orders, preservation and quote requests, customers, discount codes, settings and the website’s own content.
How are prices protected?
The server prices every checkout from the current catalogue and checks any coupon itself, so an order is placed at the real price, not a total sent from the browser.
Is the payment gateway live?
Not yet. Rare Magic is shown as a preview build, and its payment step is ready for a gateway that is not yet connected.
